Ninth Seat are proud to be a Certified B Corp

So what is a B Corp?

The B Corp certification was created by B Lab, who identified that businesses in our current global economic system were failing their enormous promise to create positive impact, and essentially putting profits over people and our planet. B Lab created a certification to create a network of businesses who meet a series of high standards in social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.

But it’s clear that the B Corp movement goes far beyond that – B Lab is creating a movement to change our economic system and, in order to do so, must change the rules of the game.

Why B Corp?

As a group of like-minded researchers, becoming B Corp certified was a natural step in the journey for Ninth Seat. We are trusted to help guide our clients through the current complex consumer world, so it felt natural to be leading the way in terms of our responsibility in conducting our own business.

Now, as a B Corp within the market research industry, we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact and can be counted among businesses that are leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.

How did we become a B Corp?

Ninth Seat’s culture and outlook on positive change was already closely aligned with the overall B Corp vision and framework, which made for a very smooth assessment period. However, it is a rigorous process to ensure we truly align with the declaration to which we are now legally committed.

Our B Corp profile can be found here, which outlines our full scoring based upon the framework.
